3. The Vessel: Write about a vehicle that can take you somewhere different from where you are now.

TARDIS.
Time And Relative Dimension In Space. What is a Tardis? Well you see, it's rather relative. Externally a TARDIS can be anything. I once knew this fellow that had somehow managed to have his permanently stuck  looking like a blue telephone box from the 1960’s UK Earth. He would also grind the gears and have it make the most awful noise. Mostly a Tardis can look like anything at all, mine is currently set as a door, I have it hidden in plain sight which is alway best policy. You wouldn’t want this baby to fall into the wrong hands.
Inside the Tardis is where the magic happens, but to get inside you must first set your chameleon circuit to recognise you by a specific command. Some like to use an object like a key, that can be less suspicious than a hand gesture. Others like to use voice command, clicking of the fingers I’ve even known one lady who used a whistle. I use a combination of a hand gesture, an object and a voice command, I am quite security minded. One passer by figured I was composing myself before entering my home once and wished me luck, which is just how I like it. I place the flat of my hand on the door, repeat a few words and place a key in the keyhole and open the door. I like to keep the entrance to the Tardis identical to the entrance of my home just in case a nosey neighbour has a quick peek inside. Once through the hallway you can see why I like to keep it as secure as possible, it's bigger on the inside.
With my Tardis I can travel anywhere, in any time, rather instantaneously. I can go backwards, forwards even sideways. My most recent trip was back in time to meet a fellow about an egg. He has such devotion to animals which I greatly respect. I had an egg of an endangered species, he had the ability to look after this egg. Funnily enough, he had his own Tardis but I doubt he knew what it could really do. He used it as a suitcase and hid all manner of creatures inside. When I asked him where he had come across it he said something along the lines of a loan from an old teacher at his school. I can just guess who that was!I don't get out as much as I used to, not since the war. You see I’m constantly fearful that we will be exposed and they’ll tear him apart to see how he works. That's no way for a Tardis to live. So we sit idle for now, only taking trips when it is essential. Soon, I feel a change in the air but is it for the greater good...
